My entry into the wedding and event planning world was rather accidental if I’m honest.  As a result of managing one of the largest stately homes in Europe, I organised corporate VIP events, tours, concerts, shows, festivals, markets and of course weddings!!


During that time, I planned and coordinated events ranging from award ceremonies, concerts, Christmas parties and sit down dinners for 300 people.  


I took the role after a severe change in life events and always planned to return to law full time as soon as I could, however I soon discovered that I LOVED event planning; being right in the thick of things, organising people, getting VIPs polished for public speaking, researching entertainment options and proposing themes for conferences and planning the most spectacular weddings against the most amazing backdrop. 


I couldn’t do any of what I do without a fabulous support system behind me and I have a great team of people who really make a difference to what we do. You’ll always find our guys ready to help you at market events and can be easily identified by their yellow jackets and name badges. 


Our regular exhibitors will know how hard the guys work to ensure the set up and de rig of events goes smoothly. So here’s my big thank you to Margaret, Ash, Ian, Mark & Kristian.  Thanks for being awesome. 

The skills I learned began to compliment my existing corporate legal events experience so well that I became committed to setting up my own wedding and events company. It wasn’t long before I realised that I had truly found my passion.  I quite full-time law in June 2019 to concentrate my full-time focus on You Said Yes. 


Those close to me will tell you that I love organising and I love to be around people and above all I love to see my people having a great time over good food, music and the odd fizzy drink.  I’m happy when I know people are leaving one of my events with a smile on their face, a fully tummy and photos they want to share with their loved ones.


Weddings are truly big beautiful events that capture my heart and being involved in someone’s BIG day is truly an honour.  The feeling you get as a client walks down the aisle and you can breathe a sigh of relief is second to none.  My ability to pull together a whole range of suppliers and event personnel to ensure a project is delivered on time and to an exceptional standard is what drives me. 


Above all, you must love what you do and I really do enjoy my job.  It’s all of this that helps me to understand my clients’ wishes and integrate their vision with my expertise to create an event that is truly unique to each individual.
