Fairs, Planning, and Royal Weddings

Hello lovely readers.

Wow - it’s been a hot and busy summer so far here at YSY HQ and I hope you’ve all been enjoying the fantastic weather we’ve had. I think it’s safe to say that summer is here and it’s staying for a while ...! Which is of course, and has been, good news for brides and grooms all over the uk.

I’ve been getting busy with new wedding planning clients and getting ready for our September Wedding Fair which takes place at The Grange Park Golf Club on 22nd September at 11am in Rotherham. More details can be found on our Facebook page, Instagram and website. In fact we have also embraced the joy that is Eventbrite so that more people can access our information from a variety of platforms.

The Grange Park Golf Club Fair will be a bigger than normal wedding showcase as we utilise both the Clubhouse and the wedding marquee to show, not only what the venue has to offer, but what great wedding industry suppliers we have here in South Yorkshire. From candy carts, to flowers, venue stylists to cakes we have a fantastic set of exhibitors waiting to show you what they can do to add something special to your big day.

Often overlooked as the “lesser” Yorkshire I think it’s time to put Rotherham back on the map and showcase just exactly what we have to offer.

We have a plethora of top class venues to suit every budget here in South Yorkshire and whether you’re looking for a classy stately home wedding, a modest civil ceremony or a laid back tipi style celebration, YSY can assist you in making the wedding of your dreams possible.

Talking of dream weddings and with Meghan and Harry’s nuptials a distant memory now, we look forward to the 2nd royal wedding this year will host.

Princess Eugenie will marry her long term boyfriend in October this year at the same chapel within Windsor Castle as Harry and Meghan did.

Princess Eugenie and her partner met whilst On a ski trip in Verbier during celebrations for “Uncle” Prince Charles birthday, and have maintained a long distance relationship ever since.

The question was was popped 24 months ago and the ring is a beautiful rare pink sapphire surrounded by diamonds in a vintage setting.

It is rumoured that Princess Eugenie will choose her sister as Maid of Honour, as is the tradition to have 1 older bridesmaids in charge of the little flower girls.

It is thought that singer songwriter Robbie Williams’ daughter will be amongst the flower girls chosen, since him and his lovely wife struck up a close friendship with both Princesses many years ago.

It’s a certainty that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will put in a second appearance as part of the wedding party having recently done a trial run for Uncle Harry.

Whilst it remains a secret which dress designer the young Princess will favour it is likely that Princes Eugenie will choose the York diamond tiara that her mother wore when marrying her father. This tiara was made specifically for that royal wedding by Garrard the royal jeweller.

Anyway, bridal trend setters, I shall leave it here for now get busy with my HUGE to do list.

I am always available by social media or email to answer any questions or give advice on bridal dilemmas, last minute hitches or venue nightmares. Please feel free to give me a nudge.

Till next time ....
